Our Commitment to Helping Others . . .

Marshfield Food Pantry

The Marshfield Food Pantry operates out of the basement of The First Congregational Church Parish Hall, located at 1981 Ocean Street, Marshfield, Massachusetts 02050. The corner of routes 3A and 139. We have been providing food to our neighbors for over 25 years. The Food Pantry is run by volunteers with a passion to help out their community. Through the years, the Food Pantry's vision has grown with the help of many volunteers and organizations within the Marshfield community. The Food Pantry is committed to engaging in the fight to end hunger and help our neighbors in need. Our volunteers treat our neighbors using the Food Pantry with the dignity and respect they deserve. If you are a Marshfield resident who is in need or know of a Marshfield family in need, please contact us for more information on how we can help.  781-837-0359

Community League

The Community League, whose purpose is social, spiritual, philanthropic and cultural, meets at the NCC Parish House, 83 Old Main St. Marshfield Hills, MA. on the second Wednesday of the month, September through June except in January.   Our members are primarily Marshfield residents - from North Community Church as well as many other local churches - but also include some people from surrounding towns. Annual dues are $15.00, but guests are welcome at all meetings.
Our monthly meeting is a luncheon (always delicious!) prepared by a volunteer committee, followed by an educational and/or entertaining program.  We have hosted musicians, including our own Marshfield High School chamber orchestra and choral groups, local historians, authors, gardening professionals, and food aficionados, among others.  The luncheon costs $5.00 for members and $7.00 for guests.
The Community League is known for the beautiful hand-pieced quilt made by our dedicated quilt guild.  They work year-round contributing fabric, time and skill so that each year we may raffle the quilt for funds, which we then contribute to local charities such as the North Community Church Youth Mission, Sowing Seeds, the Marshfield Food Pantry, The YWCA, The Boys' and Girls' Club, and Community Christmas.  The Community League also sponsors the Isabel Shurtleff Scholarship each year.
We'd love to have you join us at our luncheons!
